Ruth is a disability rights advocate and Director of Disabled Women in Africa (DIWA), where she leads regional initiatives promoting the rights, leadership, and empowerment of women and girls with disabilities across Africa. Since 2013, she has worked to influence policy, strengthen advocacy, and build partnerships that advance gender equality and disability inclusion. Drawing from her lived experience and commitment to social justice, Ruth champions the meaningful participation of women with disabilities in decision-making and development processes.
